Arcade Fire

I just received this week's edition of Time's Canadian edition and
Montreal's best band(in my opinion, probably Canada's best band) Arcade Fire is on the cover.
Good to see a great band getting the critical and public acclaims they deserve.

Le petit hamster

Ne me demandez pas pourquoi mais je me suis mis à penser à comment je pouvais
ressembler à un hamster lorsque je faisait mon petit jogging sur mon tapis roulant...

A little "coup de coeur"

I was looking for a good CD to listen to when having people over for dinner and just put a "relaxing" mood while eating. Someone recommended the "Boomerang's Vodkice" CD (by Labbat's). After my initial roll on the floor laughing, I still went ahead and bought it. I must say it is an AWESOME CD produced by Époxy. They took all the songs they used on their TV ads and made a CD out of it. It's got Chill, lounge, some electropop, and feature a surprisingly amazing singer by the name of Caroline Dhavernas. Yes, the Quebec actress/comedian Caroline Dhavernas that played in a few TV shows here and also got great review on her US based Show Wonderfalls. A nice surprise of a CD I must say.
Enjoy!

Keane is back!

I just heard Keane is back in town May 27th!
I guess they like to play here, this will be their 3rd appearance in Montreal
in 7 months. This time, i'm getting tickets. I encourage everyone to

go see them, if they are as good live as on their album, this will be a show to remember.
Plus, you get to see them in a small venue, better than the beer store where hockey is played.

p.s. Buy tickets but leave one for me.

What’s life worth?

For the last few days, one major issue became public knowledge when the Florida court decided not to overturn the decision to remove the feeding tube of Teri Schiavo. Everyone has their opinion on this, including the pope who (I don’t know how) apparently said we should let her live.

This whole story makes me really sad. Sad for her, sad for her husband and sad for her family. What should be a family crisis is now the “Nation’s crisis”; you have pro life, you have pro choice, priests, politicians (what was the congress's role anyway?), even Entertainment Tonight talking to celebrities about their opinion on the subject.
Imagine this on CNN: Schiavo: 8th day without feeding tube. I’m not joking, this is the real headline on the channel, horrible. I hope for everyone’s sake that this gets resolved soon and without too much pain for whom we should think about and who matters most in this situation, Terri herself. Terri’s pain might not be in vain; everyone needs to realize THEY need to advise their family, or better, write a will that will state how they want to die. Last year my goal was to stop smoking and I did, this year it is to make a will. In the meantime, CCN will camp outside her hospital until another “cool” story comes along.

Denial anyone?

Barry Bond will certainly not help me like baseball.
I'm reading all the articles about drugs in sports and must say I have no pitty whatsoever
for this guys.
Here's the story in my view; guy plays not too bad in Baseball, sees chance to make more money by being better at his sport, to get better = need steroids, take steroids, gets better, makes lots of money, starts to have physical problems, blames media!

Here you go, the whole story, right there. Bud Selig (commisionner) opens an inquiry, Barry's name comes out but still he denies. Oh but wait, he denies taking anything but says he trusted his trainer when he gave him 'cocktail' to digest. Dude, get a grip, before someone injects something in me with a needle, i'm sure gonna know what it is.

Anyway, the media finally made it, they made him cry, the made is son cry, they took his life away.... Poor Barry we blame the media for you going from 150lbs to 275 (of muscle) in 2 years.
Bad media...bad bad media.

SWEET!

Price of the ticket....50$
For a Sprite and a Pretzel... 8.75$
Touch Scott Weiland.... priceless......

Okay, i'm not a groupie or even a big fan, but that dude was 5 inches from me singing the last song of the night, Slither
I had to at least touch the guy (on the shoulder) and give a high five!

By the way, the show was awesome (for rock fans of course), can't wait for my son to be old enough to bring him.

VR

Tonight, i'm going to the Bell centre for the Velvet Revolver show.
I thought 50$ was a deal. Since i've stopped smoking, all shows I pay to see are a deal (to me).
Anyway, washed up rockers or still a good group to see?

I'll let you know tomorow.

Things that makes you go hummm..

67% of Americans are for sactions against Cuba for their
refusal of freedom of speech to all Cubans, however, 56% say they are
in favor of the American government having hability to "look" at
Newspaper articles before being published!

Spring on March 20th?

Since i'm little, Spring is March 21st. Summer is June 21st.
Fall is September 21st and Winter is December21st.
Why do we have to complicate everything, I heard this morning
from the reliable weather channel (wink) that spring is tomorow, March 20th at 7h30!
Who will be outside to see it coming?
I'll sure try!

Welcome

My first blog!
I thought about it for a long time and decided to just go ahead and do it.
For the most part, I just need a place to vent and relax.

Don't take it too personnal, only i'm allowed
Enjoy!
