Merry Christmas!

Well Jesus was born a few years ago Today. As told by Elton John in the song Levon!

Everyone knows the story.... but what we forgot to mention was how nervous Mary was 'cause she had to bring ham sandwiches to the "pot luck" at her sister's and she wanted them to be perfect. Joseph forgot his suit at the dry cleaner (which was obviously closed on the 25th) and the 3 wisemen actually made 2 trips to see Jesus since 2 of them bought the same gift!

Okay, enough of this!

Merry Christmas and I hope you didn't go into too much debt for that one day!

The God that failed.

It's Christmas eve and my faith in God is surely not growing stronger.

Since yesterday morning, i'm asking myself why.
Why would somebody be taken away from his familly like that?
Why so young? so healthy? Such a good human being, with stong familly values?
I'm sure a lot of people are asking the same questions for their own relatives/friends people around the world.
I'm just thinking that if the God i'm suppose to worship is capable of breaking famillies like that, i'd rather not worship him at all.

Tony, we love you and you'll be missed!

Swing, swing, swing

OK, so we now make it legal to be able to screw around but we soon will have to change from Merry Christmas to Happy non-event December 25th?

I love Canada !!!!

Ah, to be young again...

Today would have meant I would be playing out all day!

We got 40 cm of snow here and stupid people (like me) went to work, bright ones stayed home and kids played outside all day!

Heres another link with pics.

The river

songs playing this week... One in particular that I LOVE
The River by Bruce Springsteen, makes me feel sad but I also love the factthat I have these images of the song in my head when I listen to it.

I come from down in the valleywhere mister when you're young

They bring you up to do like your daddy done
Me and Mary we met in high schoolwhen she was just seventeen
We'd ride out of that valley down to where the fields were green
We'd go down to the riverAnd into the river we'd dive
Oh down to the river we'd ride
Then I got Mary pregnantand man that was all she wrote
And for my nineteenth birthday I got a union card and a wedding coat
We went down to the courthouseand the judge put it all to rest
No wedding day smiles no walk down the aisle
No flowers no wedding dressThat night we went down to the river
And into the river we'd dive
Oh down to the river we did ride
I got a job working construction for the Johnstown Company
But lately there ain't been much work on account of the economy
Now all them things that seemed so important
Well mister they vanished right into the air
Now I just act like I don't remember
Mary acts like she don't care
But I remember us riding in my brother's car
Her body tan and wet down at the reservoir
At night on them banks I'd lie awake
And pull her close just to feel each breath she'd take
Now those memories come back to haunt me
they haunt me like a curse
Is a dream a lie if it don't come true
Or is it something worse
that sends me down to the river
though I know the river is dry
That sends me down to the river tonight
Down to the rivermy baby and I
Oh down to the river we ride

An idea that Quebec can follow.

I think this is a great idea.
Take something from kids that they want to make sure they stay in school.
Might see less Honda civic with purple neons on the road!

Charity is a coat you wear twice a year.

I've never been asked for so much than this period of the year.
Make 20 famillies eat for only 20$, save kids for 10$, give to food banks please give this, or that.

I'm all in favor of helping but why is it only around Christmas, no one is starving in July?
People are too buzy with they vacations?
Instead of helping out others from December 1st to 31st, why not give or do a little throughout the year? I'm sure people would appreciate it.

I've got news for ya!

I got this link for you.
We received it as part of the diversity week.

Prety usefull and cool.

You spin me round!

So we're going to vote (again) in January!
It is apparently a tactic of some sort to disorient the actual government and bla bla bla sorry, i'm already sleeping.
One thing I know is that we'll spend a S%&? load of money for nothing;

In Quebec, we'll vote Bloc Party (who will never be enough to be elected as a majority, obviously).
Since Mulroney left, there's no direction whatsoever ( or a good idea) pour les conservateurs.
No one knows NPD, the only thing we know is that Mr. Layton likes to party!?!?

So guess what, comes February, we'll still be stuck with Liberals in a minority role.

Thanks for putting my money somewhere it doesn't belong!

Martineau

Aujourd'hui, ça me paraît une éternité.

Sunday

Today is relaxation day, not a lot of those around!
These lyrics are a part of the song on "heavy rotation" in my basement these days...Guess who?

"Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure

Oh therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed (I love this phrase)
Nobody's perfect and I stand accused
For lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse"

(Hint... It's not James Blunt)

Shame on me

I was waiting for it since last week, turns out the Keane DVD hasn't arrive at Future Shop yet!
So they put it on sale but do not have any copies? I'll get a raincheck!

dimanche 20 novembre 2005

Shameless plug!

This is a public service announcement.

This Tuesday, Nov 22nd 2005 is the release date for the Keane DVD. Go buy it now!
Hopes and Fears from Keane is in (my humble) opinion, the best CD since 2000 so if the DVD (double DVD might I add) is anything like the CD, it is going to be killer!
If you want to buy it for cheap, it is on sale Tuesday at ...I won't say the name but it starts by Future and finishes by Shop!

While you're there why not buy the new System Of A Down CD, Hypnotise, the follow up to this year's Mezmerize. It is also coming out Tuesday.

Happy shopping :)

Found the light?

Okay, wanna know what I want for Christmas (good spelling??) wink wink.
No, not peace on earth, not the end of war, I want those damn pink lights!!!!
Now EVERYWHERE you go, there is either clear lights or multicolor lights for your christmas tree. When you find other colors, you get red, green, blue or yellow but NO PINK!
I personally don't care if I find them or not but if this keeps my wife from being frustrated around Christmas, i'll be happy.
Please tell me where I can find them :(

And so this is Christmast...

Well, since Nov 1st, it is all about Christmast until December 24th. After Dec 26th, we'll see all Valentine's day things in the stores but in the meantime, welcome to MY nightmare. Don't get me wrong, I like to receive (and give) gifts like all of you but c'mon! we're talking about November here. I've never seen anything this commercial since Nirvana sold 5 gazilions copies of Nevermind. (get it? No?? well Nevermind). Anyway, I remember when we were sooo excited when we got the consumer's distributing catalog in October, yes, october, not July like now and it's now Sears catalogs (as C.D. went bankrupt). We were also excited about stores opening until 9h00pm Monday to Friday for the last 4 weeks before Christmast. Everything is so commercial now that store are open until 9h00pm every weeknights all year. Sunday, everything is open too. Okay, so we don't go to church on Sundays like grandma and grandpa did back then but would we be really suffering if stores were closed Sundays? I don't think so. Sundays were familly days, now it's shopping day just like people are now complainiing that they don't spend enough time with their kids at night, well maybe if store were closed at 6h00pm, it would help no? Anyway, enough about my rant on Christmast (For now).

Enjoy your shopping and do not forget, I really like gifts certificates!

HA HA HA HA

(English follows)

4. Je ne stationne plus la voiture dans aucun parking car j'ai peur qu'on me donne un échantillon de parfum pour me droguer et puis me violer.

I want to thank everyone who sent me chains of e-mails over the years. Because of you,
1. I've stopped drinking Coke since you could use it to polish metal.
2. I don't go to movies anymore by fear of sitting on a needle infected with the AIDS virus.
3. I smell because I refuse to use deodorant that can cause cancer.
4. I never park my car in parkings because i'm afraid someone will give me "perfume" sample to drug and rape me.
5. I do not answer the phone since we could ask me to dial a long and stupid number and then i'll receive a HUGE long distance bill with calls to Tokyo or Singapore.
6. I never drink canned drinks fo fear of getting disease.

7. When I go out to party I never look at girls , even if she's cute because i'm scared she will bring me back to the hotel, drug me to take out my kidneys and sell them on the black market.
8. I gave all my savings to Amy Bruce, that poor little girl that was sick at least 700 times. (Funny she's 8 years old since 1995...).
9. My free Nokia cell phone never came, neither did the free tickets for Disneyland.
10. I put my name in with 3000 other people to save some kind of squirrel.
11. I've learned 170 times that Msn Hotmail will delete my account.
12. I know the recipe for not being single anymore (Just need to write the name of someone on paper and thinking very hard about that person and scratching my a#$ and turning clock wise around a Renault)
13. I've accumulated 3000 years of bad luck and I died 67 times because of all the chains of e-mails I broke..
To all, a BIG THANKS!

I can't beleive it's not butter!

Think of ALL of the things your government could be doing right now to make this Province better. Education? Familly? No sir, they are raiding yellow margarine. As the most stupid and bizarre law in history of Quebec, the inspectors for the agriculture department were craking down 4 Wallmart in the Quebec City area this weekend to find the yellow margarine. Turns out this "illegal" stock was shipped in Quebec by mistake, not the big conspiracy theory of the yellow margarine taking over as was mentionned by the PQ agriculture critic.

This law was introduced years ago to protect dairy producers....

I think i'll be sick!....moooo

I love candies!

Well yesterday was my son's 2nd Halloween. We made a total of 4 houses as he seemed more interested in walking on the street than actually picking up candies! I just hope he gets more next year as I'M THE ONE WHO EATS THEM!!!!
I posted some pics on my other blog.

A good Maple Leaf joke!

That was in The Gazette yesterday, I have to say, pretty funny!

Name changes;
The White Sox end a 88 year drought a year after the Red Sox end a 86 year winless spell. In a related story, the Toronto Maple Leafs changed their name to the Blue Sox...

If stupidity would kill...

....Some NBA players would die!

Imagine that the NBA commissioner Davind Stern is thinking of installing a "dress code" for players (like the NHL has had almost forever). By doing so, the players "image" would improve and maybe set a good example for young kids to dress better instead of 'street' wear.
The problem lies with some players who feels that such a law wouldn't pass with players UNLESS THE LEAGUE GIVE THEM SPENDING MONEY TO BUY CLOTHES!!!!
May I remind you they all make around 5 Million a year?!?!

Like I said, if stupidity kills, some players would die instantly......

Get rid of spies

This post is more of a "public service announcement".
Once in a while, your PC should be scanned and cleared of spyware, those little pieces of &?$% that gets in your PC without notice when you "surf" the web. They then issue "pop ups" left, right and centre.
Here's 2 programs that can help you get rid of them. They are completely safe and secure, just download and run. They were recomended by my "Protégez-vous" magazine.

Spybot or Ad-Aware
Make sure you use those link or copy the right adress.

Thanks Chantal!

Merci Chantal!

Why Sundays sucks!

No matter what season it is, if it's sunny, rainy, snowy or whatever, Sunday sucks.
Here's some reasons why;

1- Unable to polish off my bottle of red wine, work is Tomorow!
2- Unless you rent something, t.v. is BAD!
3- Knowing you go back to work the next norning!
4- Still hungover from last night's bottle (see #1)
5- You know that whatever you didn't do this weekend, it is just delayed until next weekend!

Humor

The Habs are losing 2-0 right now so here's a little morale booster I found on one of my fave sites!

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES
1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and presto. The blockage will be almost instantly removed.
2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.
3. Avoid arguments with the little woman about lifting the toilet seat by simply using the sink.
4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.
5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button
6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough.
7. Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget about the toothache

The end of a season.

So you know when summer ends when the leaves turns red? Days are shorter? Nights are colder? Not for me. I know when summer ends when racing is over. F1 and IRL are now over for the season, Champs Car is down to 2 races before the end of the season and NASCAR is done in about a month. No longer, for a while, will I wish "in secret" for rain on Sundays just to stay home and watch the race instead, I will wish for lots of snow on Saturday to watch College Football!

It's good to be king!

It's good to be king,
if just for a while
To be there in velvet,
yeah, to give 'em a smile
It's good to get high,
and never come down
It's good to be king
of your own little town
Yeah, the world would swing
if I were king
Can I help it if I
still dream time to time
It's good to be king
and have your own way
Get a feeling of peace
at the end of the day
And when your bulldog barks
and your canary sings
You're out there with winners,
yeah, it's good to be king
Yeah I'll be king when dogs get wings
Can I help it if I
still dream time to time
It's good to be king
and have your own world
It helps to make friends,
it's good to meet girls
A sweet little queen who can't run away
It's good to be king, whatever it pays
Excuse me if I have some place in my mind
Where I go time to time

3 years ago, I was still young and naive and just got married :)
It's been 3 years today, some say it's not too long (grandparents) and some say it's an eternity (probably a celeb couple from Hollywood!). Whatever it is, it's all good! Although it brings nice lunch discussions at the office. So a womend says she hates flowers but in reality she likes them?!?!

Wanna laugh?

I really thought "Arrested Development" was the best Comedy in t.v. but I started watching "The Office" this year and I have to say it is HILARIOUS! I was surprised and happy to hear that NBC bought a British concept given the usual conservatism of American channel. They realised how good and well written this comedy is so, bravo NBC!

Must see tv on NBC Tuesday nights :)
b.t.v. Arrested dvelopment is on FOX on Mondays!

Count your blessing

Whenever you think your life sucks because something goes wrong, think of China Keitetsi a girl that was a soldier in the "armée ougandaise" from 9 to 19 years old. When someone asks me how i'm doing, I always say "it's ALL good!" well my life is all good I must say...

The blame game.

Since when did human being stopped being responsible?
You're too big? Blame McDo!
You drink too much? Blame the liquor stores?
You're a compulsive gambler? Must be because of Loto-Quebec
And now, you're addicted to cigarette? You can now blame the tobacco ocompany! Yipee Inperial Tobacco will pay, yes all free, your new lungs!
What happened to moderation?
I would be willing to let the old folks sue the tobacco companies but people 50 years or younger MUST have seen, heard or read an article on the dangers of smoking so leave me alone and take some of the blame ok?

Charles Tyserre VS GIlles Latulipe.....

Rock 'n Roll High School!

Yesterday was a (kinda) hig school reunion.

30 of us '89 graduate met for dinner and talk about old times. This was actually the 3rd one since '89. You kinda feel apprehensive at first but it's always fun to see who changed, who didn't etc.etc. I'm still thinking about my night so i'll write more on it later.

CNN is presently following an Airplane that has landing gear problems in the L.A. sky.
They are following that plane for the last 3 hours and old dumbass Larry King seemed disapointed when an ex-pilot said this landing, although it is an emergency landing, is not a crash and should be done without any serious injuries.
- Will they usethe inflate slides?
- Will the use foam?
Stay tuned 24hours to CNN.... Oh and Rita is a category 5, yipee, more desolation from CNN.

Check it out....

Youppie!

WOW.
The Montreal Canadian got a mascot. They bought the rights to YOUPPIE, the famous mascot form the now ex-Mtl Expos in baseball. People in Montreal are divided; you either love or hate YOUPPIE! Some say, YOUPPIE should have stayed in baseball with Washington and has no rights in Hockey, some say it is a great idea from the Montreal Canadian, some say it's a marketing stunt. Here's my opinion...

IT'S A ?*%&$ MASCOT!

Can we start talking about more important stuff????
This mascot is not there to amuse grown ups but kids and kids only and YOUPPIE at the Montreals children's hospital is 100% more healing than a bunch of grown ups arguing if this thing has a place in a hockey "temple".
And for the record, the Mtl Canadian sold more season tickets this year and their games are always sold out so for marketing.....

with this. I ain't gonna complain! Good move McGuinty.

The world at a click of a button!

This is what is keeping me buzy these days! My boss found this program from watching CNN too much and now i'm addicted. Google earth is a cool program that makes you see the world like you've never seen it before. Just dowloand the free version and have fun!

I found my house, my old school, my office, the Atwater market, the Bell Centre etc. etc.

Where's the money?

The NFL association gives 7 millions for the Katrina Relief? The waterboys in the NFL makes more money than that!
This was a good chance for athletes (of all professional sports) to show they are not the self centered bastards people think they are, well now more people think it's true.....

Song of the week

Not to poke fun at this difficult situation but the song of the week should be
New Orlean's is sinking from the tragically Hip.

And I thought I was going to hell.....

"A Roman Catholic nun led protesters who greeted Hollywood star Tom Hanks as he arrived at a cathedral in England for the filming of controversial best seller "The Da Vinci Code."
Sister Mary Michael, 61, knelt in prayer outside Lincoln Cathedral where scenes for the blockbuster are being shot." - source, CNN. :)

Ain't there more important things to protest or at least pray for in the world?

Grosse pepeinne

Tommy goes to College!

Just as I thought reality shows sucked bad, here comes Tommy Lee in College!
The best drummer in the world (ok 2nd after J-F) at the University of Nebraska, what's not to like? This show will be, like he sais, "killer"

Am I dying?

I've got a big man's cold!
Bye bye to all my familly and friends! I might die soon :)

Business is good ?

The John Molson's school of business from Concordia Univ. has a 2.5 million$ deficit. Anyone else find this ironic? Here I thought I was eventually gonna register there for an MBA.

Bonne chance!

NOW this is disapointment right?

Ok, after the failed Air France crash and the space shuttle returning home without any issues, I really do feel sad for CNN.

dimanche 7 août 2005

The King is dead.

Not Elvis, but Ibrahim Ferrer who died last week at age 78. Formal introduction, Ibrahim Ferrer is in my mind one of the best singer/musician in the world with Compay Segundo (88 yeas old when he was rediscovered) who both played in the classic latin band Buena Vista Social Club. By classic latin music I do not mean Ricky Martin or Marc Anthony.....Ibrahim was "discovered" again by Ry Cooder who was putting a group together for a documentary. up to 1999, Ibrahim was shining shoes and collecting his "pension" of 15$ US a month from the Cuban Government. In 2000, became International star with his Buena Vista compadre and even played an amazing show in New-York. For real fans of latin. check out their songs, they are the best. They revived the Latin music the way it should be remembered.

Got the life!

Chips on the couch, fast food, loud music, beer, that's the menu for me this weekend as i'm single for a few days!
I have a new vacuum cleaner so i'll use it Monday night :-)

jeudi 4 août 2005

I might be wrong....

I've never been in an accident, only a small hit and run once and a bumber scratched so I might be wrong but... Something struck me with what happened at the Toronto Airport as it did when the Tsunami hit last December. Survivors are questionning the way they are treated by crew at Air France and at Canadian customs. I heard 2 man complained that no one knew what to do with them, blankets were missing while they were shivering from the cold and rain, Passports stamped twice by customs as they were questionned twice, left to go home without any idea what to do next and so on and so on. To a certain degree I can understand they are nervous but shouldn't they know that this was a catastrophy and people INCLUDING THE CREW AND EMPLOYEES are a little more stressed than usual so therefore whatever they learned as safety measures they might have forgotten a little that day?

mardi 2 août 2005

CLose call or Miracle?

Call it what you want but in Toronto, an Air France passenger jet plane with 309 people aboard than skids off the runway, bursts into flames and get only 14 people injured and no deaths...That's a miracle.

(Somehow I think the people at CNN are disapointed, they expected to get that story covered for the next 4 weeks!)

lundi 1 août 2005

?! Back to school?!

I was looking through the flyers this weekend and stuff for school is already on display and for sale! I'm already feeling cold!
It's nice to get the Sears summer catalog in January but.....

In the "sucks to be you" department

With the new labor deal signed last week, Sidney Crosby's salary in the NHL will be a maximum $850,000 US a year. Anyone crying for him? (Just think of how much Nike and all the sweat shop afficcionado companies will give him)....

mercredi 27 juillet 2005

A reason to smile.

I asked my 16 month old son for a kiss and he walked up to me and gave me a big kiss. Whatever could have bothered me at that time suddenly dissapeared, in fact I don't even remember what was bothering me !

mardi 26 juillet 2005

Let's all get excommunicated!

Nine women were ordained PRIESTS yesterday. We as a society should applaude such an act but it seems the mafia, hummm, sorry, the vatican is ready to excommunicate them. That will happen as soon as the pope Dude 34 is done fighting with Harry Potter. Go Harry, go!
I have mcied feelings about this, on one hand I applaude the cause and on the other, i'm thinking WHY?
I'm thinking why would someone want to be a priest, let alone a women as much as i'm asking why would gays want to marry. Doesn't bother me but it's not all fun and games guys :)

Your Pork taste like ink?

Your last Pork roast tasted like ink? Blame this idiot!
Votre dernier roti de porc goûtait l'encre, blamez cet idiot!

I read this and find no hope at all man, no hope at all...... :)

L'effet Boomerang!

"This fire is out of control, we're gonna burn this city, burn this city"...

I know it's sad but I can't help but smile (a little smile) when I read that a fire hall was devastated by fire! I know it has more chances of happening than a dentist with no front teeth!

vendredi 22 juillet 2005

My stomach hurts.

The man some would accuse of being the first man to incite America to get fatter died last night. Gerry Thomas hero for some, died of cancer at 83. Gerry came out with a simple formula, get America to eat in front of the TV. Why take a good 30mins/1 hour of good time with your familly aroud a table when you can eat in front of the TV watching "the price is right"? The story doesn't say if mr. Thomas died of stomach cancer. (My twisted humor). He will be missed by Sarah Lee....
On the same note, I was amazed (!) to learn that he got hate mails form men who wanted their wife to cook from scratch like their mom did!

If we can save energy

Well if there's one thing the Canadian Gov should follow the US gov on is their plan to stay on daylight savings time longer to save energy. Pretty interesting article to read.

A lot of changes for me the last few weeks, the main one is after 14 years, i'm starting a new job at a new company on Monday. By continuing with changes, i'm gonna change the look of this site too. I should find a new template for this site by Monday.

jeudi 14 juillet 2005

Nothing new to declare today! Just tired, stressed and anxious!

So, it seems Hockey will be back for next season. My question is, does anyone care? Okay, maybe CBL the Flyers fan :)

Tonight i'm going to my first City council meeting in Ile Perrot.
I'm getting further away from the "Big" city I guess...

Ain't that the truth

This is what I had in my head today.

Kneel down ya sinners,

Greed's been crowned the new King
Hollywood dream teens
Yesterday's trash queens
Save the blessing for the final ring - AMEN

While writing yesterday's blog, I found this very interesting site on Downtown Montreal.

samedi 9 juillet 2005

jeudi 7 juillet 2005

It is sometimes hard to wake up.

I woke up in my hotel room in Toronto early this morning with a bad hangover and realized when I opened the TV that it was going to be a much more harder day for some people.
I drove back home with that song from Green Day in my mind. Not much but....

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
like my fathers come to pass
seven years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends
summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when september ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when september ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when september ends
like my father's come to pass
twenty years has gone so fast
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends
wake me up when september ends

Live 8

What a nice day to spend inside. I'm watching Live 8 since 7am this morning and intend to watch it until midnight. I signed up against poverty, so did my wife but I can't get this feeling inside that maybe out government should get poverty erased of our own Country before anywhere else. Is that okay?

jeudi 30 juin 2005

Happy as Canada is....

Okay, not too subtle but hey, i'm happy, i'ts the day before a holiday weekend so......
HAPPY CANADA DAY! What can I say, I love red wine (!). For those who didn't know i'm not a separatist, doesn't mean i'm for the federal government but.... Take that day off (if you're not moving) and think of all the Countries you wouldn't / couldn't stay in right now and enjoy.

mardi 28 juin 2005

Ain't that gay?

Well, PM Martin is losing players over same sex marriage. Was to be expected, even though polls show people are "open", when it really count, they chicken out. Who gives a crap if gays get married or not? Will regular joe's life suddenly change because a gay couple gets married? Who know what Jesus did when he was with 12 disciples (all men), anyway, this gets me mad as I fell they are MANY issues moe important than this to debate, I say let gays marry (let them see it's not all that spectacular anyway :) ) and make sure all the kids have decent meals everyday. In the end, which one counts more?

lundi 27 juin 2005

I'm home!

Can't wait to sleep in my bed tonight!
My 4 days in Toronto went pretty well, I hate that city with a passion but absolutely love the friends and familly living there. Anyway, still off this week. I thought i'd enjoy a few days off but looks like my stupid basement will take much of my time this week. Oh well....

mardi 21 juin 2005

Buzy bee....

Flooding, eye surgery (LAZIK) and trip to Toronto...all needs to happend this week!?!?!?
Anyway, i'm off work starting tonight, get my eye surgery Tomorow and driving with wife and kid to Mississauga Thursday, which means I won't post until next week!.

Take care!

samedi 18 juin 2005

Closure

I received a cute e-mail Today.
For anyone who needs some sort of closure of need to get to the end of everything....

mercredi 15 juin 2005

Hummmm

The cops work for months and months and finally succeed in dismanteling a prostitution ring. Hookers, Pimps, are all caught but, no customers were arrested. Worse, under age girls (again) were found in that ring but again, I repeat, no customers were arrested!
Ain't that funny?

mardi 14 juin 2005

Baby hit me one more time!

I promised myself not to watch too much tv this summer. Taking care in my trees, plants, grass should get me away from the télé but I found something I need to listen too on Tuesdays (don't laught oaky). The show is called "Baby hit me one more time" (like the Britney song I guess). The concept is pretty fun, get artists from the 80's, like Tiffany, Vanila Ice, A Flock of seagul and get them to sing their hit song BUT also get them to sign a recent popular song. The audience will chose a winner at the end and the money they win goes to their favorite charity. How can this show be bad?
The Knacks signing their hit song "My Sherona" and then "Are you gonna be my girl" from Jet is pretty cool!

lundi 13 juin 2005

My portion of Entertainment Tonight!

1- Pink Floyd reunited with Roger Waters for Live8? Lot's of pot to be smoked there I guess!

2- The Spice Girls are not, I repeat, are not performing at Live8. You can all go buy your tickets now, you're safe. They are apparently waiting until 2006 for their 10th anniversary. Some anniversary are just not meant to be celebrated...

3- Michael Jackson was acquited. Not one of the the 10 counts stuck.Mr. Teflon is FREE, so is his bank account.

Well, that's it folks, no more news for ya!

dimanche 12 juin 2005

Well....

Well we went and bought an Air Conditioning. Guess i'm off the hook until the nest house!

samedi 11 juin 2005

Public apology

I'd like to publicly apoligize to my wife. 3 years ago when we got our house built I said that central air conditioning was probably not necessary since we stayed a little bit out of the city near the water and it felt a litle chillier at night. Can I say I get the "bad" look everytime it's hot! Mind you, 42C is not the norm around here but....

Sincerely honey, I apologize and in our next house, I swear we definitely are getting CAC.

vendredi 10 juin 2005

These days, je "Lounge"

I love music, no one can argue that. Whatever it is, except for country, i like. I have it on almost 24 hours/day.
What i'm very big on right now is "Lounge music", when I don't listen to a CD, I go on the web and listen to the coolest Lounge site (from Switzerland) that plays only longe music, truly one of the greatest sites around for that kind of music. Also, on Sunday nights between 6pm and 8pm, I urge you to at least once listen to Mix 96 in Montreal (my city) to the "the lounge king" show. You should go and listen!
If you like lounge music already, share your comments on what to buy/look for.

Edit; Also try this luxuria music for lounge, looks kinda neat and the music is also great.

jeudi 9 juin 2005

mardi 7 juin 2005

When will I be 65?

So Ottawa plan to drop the mandatory retirement at 65. This wil means that old people will have to work longer for their retirement plan and young people will not find jobs.
Good work Ottawa....again !
For my part, i'm going for 6/49....

lundi 6 juin 2005

Coming Tomorow

X & Y from Coldplay is out tomorow! run and get it!
All that noise, all that sound......

dimanche 5 juin 2005

Train your kids....

The US government is planning a campaign for parent to train their kids to eat better. Eat "go foods" or food that are good everyday and keep "whoa foods" like threats, for special occasions. With this campaign, the government hopes that kids will be healthier and get the obesity rate down in the US. There's presently 9 millions overweight kids in the US. WATCH OUT PIZZA POCKET! ! ! !

samedi 4 juin 2005

Tomorow and until Friday, I will be in a cofnerence downtown, I will take that opportunity to write on my little observations and take a few pictures!

.

Today, i'm happy to be Canadian, the new Miss World is Canadian Nathalie Geblova was crowned yesterday! We can say the mix Russian/Canadian is quite stunning!

Un nouveau blogue

Après VERSTEHEN, In Limbo, Abraxas, voici L'EUxpatriée.

The 30 seconds sitcom!

And so you thought you'd just buy a TIVO (or a PVR in Canada) and that way you could skip the commercials and watch your 20 minutes sitcom or 40 minutes Law and Order by skiping all the commercials. Well you thought wrong. Ads execs came up with a great idea, why not incorporate ads right in our favorite shows! Won't happen? Well ever thought about all the CTU staff in 24 driving only FORD 4X4? Bernie Mac popping Rolaids in one of his show, Extreme Makeover shopping "exclusively" at Sears for their furnitures and accesories.... You thought you could skip ads? Not when you're dealing with a 10 Billion / year revenue business.

Alors that's it! rien, nada, niet!
Je me prépare à aller passer 3 jours au Marriot Chateau Champlain dès mercredi.

Bonne semaine!

vendredi 27 mai 2005

Peut-on être 'trop' ouvert?

As the Quebec National Assembly rejected at 100% the 'charia' (Islamic Law), Ontario is still debating on the subject. What is there to debate? Taking out the right for Islamic Woman living in Canada? Most of whom came to find a better life? Ontario shouldn't have to go through such debates, we are open to all religions but are we too open? Can we still say that without being called racists? What about a Catholic law system (!) in Muslims States!

Idiots do exists in this Country

Here's the proof. Those stupid dumbasses have a website...
Please drop them an e-mail saying how dumb and ignorant they are, while you're there, check out their mail section, they sent funny stuff to the Federal Government!

I married an anglophone from Ontario and in no way does this website reflect the reality out there. These people ( French extremists also) should not be able to write such garbage.
They obviously need a life....
And here I thought yesterday was a bad day..... :-)

mercredi 25 mai 2005

Smile!

Today was probably the shittiest day i've had in a long time, I didn't feel like writing but I got an e-mail with a few little lines that made me kinda laught so maybe if I read them again and again, i'll get better.....

Can you cry under water?
How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?
Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round?
Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. . but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
What disease did cured ham actually have?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up every two hours?
If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
If you drink Pepsi at work in the Coke factory, will they fire you?
Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
How come we choose from just two people for President and fifty for Miss America?
Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
If a 911 operator has a heart attack, whom does he/she call?
Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?
Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet soup?
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out!"
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?
When your photo is taken for your driver's license, why do they tell you to smile? If you are stopped by the police and asked for your license, are you going to be smiling?
If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
What do you call male ballerinas?
Can blind people see their dreams? Do they dream?
If Wyle E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
Is Disney World the only people trap operated by a mouse?
Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune? Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

mardi 24 mai 2005

sniff sniff

Bravo!

24

15 minutes, 15 more minutes to wait for the season finale of 24. Probably one of the most original show ever, 24, is ending tonight after 22 weeks of pure suspense with a 2 hour season finale. For those of you who were on another planet for the last 4 years, here's the thing, 24 is a show that takes place in, humm, 24 hours! so all the show represent 1 hour out of the 24. So we started this season from 7am to 8am, show 2 is 8am to 9am, so on and so on, make sense? Anyway, if you've never seen 24, I suggest you rent the DVDs on a raine shitty weekend (like this stupid weekend)

Our own scandal

Before I die, someone will have to make me undestand what it is about English Canada's fascination with the Queen.
For the life of me, I CANNOT get that buzz surrounding her every visit to this Country. We, in Quebec, understood a logn time ago that the Queen means nothing more than a few millions spent for nothing. Seem that the rest of Canada didn't get it yet. Are we missing something? What else do we owe her?
Let"s call people in Alberta and Saskatchewan who are all gaga over her.....

Hallucinations!

Saddam wears briefs.

So now we can all sleep better since we know Saddam wears briefs, not boxers.
Some people are offended, that picture might have broken the Geneva Convention, this should have never happened, this is an outrage.....ZZZZZzzzzzzzz
CNN just found something to talk about for the next 3 weeks.

How to save 300 millions?

Just win confidence vote (have to laught at that term no?)and no elections happens. Here it is, 300 million dollars saved for Canadians. Ultimately, it just means more money available to those who really really don't need more but....

Dave's alright!

I was happy to read in the Times Canada that Dave Chapelle is alright. Last March , Dave signed a 50 million, yes, 50 million deal for his Comedy central show "the Dave Chapelle show" and then kinda disapeared. He had asked exects to postpone the next season of his show twice and soon after rumors started flying. Drugs? Gone insane? Pressure? well maybe the latter two in a small portion. Turns out he's in South Africa at his friends house thinking about when and how he'll return to America and to the show. At least nothing stupid happened and we can all still hope this comedy genuis is back soon!

Well, Belinda Stronash just switched sides and is now a Liberal! If all remains, no elections will happen this summer and Belinda, as a big thank you, will be the new Liberal chief in 2 years!

You could also ban their disgusting coffee

In another absurd attempt at censorship;
Starbuck's coffee is pulling out of their store the new Bruce Springsteen album Devils and Dust. Apparently, the song "Reno", about an encounter with a prostitute is too much for them little ears. Newsweek magazine reported that the coffee retailer had pulled albums off their stores after some complaints about that song. A Starbucks (very bright) executive said that the song in question was only one of the reasons, the main being "scheduling difficulties." :)
I think it is probably too difficult for them to schedule the "skip" button on their CD players to not play that song.......

I'm talking Brutal Outing here

Spokane Mayor, Jim West, know for his harsh comments and actions on gays such as, banning gay men and lesbians from working in schools, day-care centers and some state agencies, wanting to screen prospective employees for sexual orientation and firing employees whose homosexuality became known, proposed that teen sex be criminalized,etc.etc. was just caught last week in a sex "chat room" with a teenage boy (well, a journalist passing for a 17 year old kid) and came out of the closet as a gay man!
Do we say, gotcha?

Airline

As much as reality shows can (suck) sometimes or all the time, here's one that is really good. It is called Airline and it plays on A&E. The best one is still "The Amazing Race" but this one is a close 2nd. Watch it when you can!

The story of a finger!

I go to bed before 10h00pm (see previous post) and I just drank 2 and 1/2 glass of red wine and feel too happy. Definite signs i'm getting old......
